COVID-19
The news is filled with stories about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact. We have heard that “vulnerable populations are most likely to be impacted by the disease,” Our most vulnerable are the homeless, (those without a permanent residence), elderly/seniors, children and individuals with compromised immune systems. We need to be aware and prepare but do not panic. The CDC’s website has valuable information. Please visit their website for additional information it’s listed below.
A few things we would like to remind you of:
Anyone can transmit the virus so we all should:
Avoid close contact with people who appear sick
Wash your hands regularly and frequently and for at least 20 seconds each time
If you cough, cough into your elbow, not into your hands
Limit physical contact such as shaking hands
Limit contact with high touch surface areas such as handrails, door knobs etc.
If you are sick or someone you know is sick, please call your doctor’s office or the hospital prior to going so they may direct you on the proper steps to arrive at the hospital/clinic as to decrease the risk of infection to someone else.
